When ordering a non alcoholic drink, why do resturants/bars/etc. assume you always want the most...?

Hunter Beech: Because a good drink is a cold drink and they don't have to give you as much stuff!

Russel Gajate: becuase the drink is hot without ice, duh, who wants to drink a hot beverage unless it's supposed to be hot

Sherrill Botting: Ice is cheaper to manufacture than sodas, tea, etc......it's a cost cutting maneuver...the trick is to order your drink with half glass of ice.....that's an old bartenders trick from a bartender of 20 years

Chauncey Williama: Profit margin!

Adelle Weight: i could merely order a soda. maximum places will provide it to you loose, because of the fact they take excitement in unique drivers. in case you order a virgin drink you will nonetheless get charged such as you may for an alcoholic drink, and for what? a team of sugar, soda water, and synthetic flavoring.

Barton Slisz: its cheaper to use more ice and less of the drink

David Boehler: actually, I put the least amount of ice possible...this way I don't ! have to keep running back and forth to get the customer refills!

Antone Bual: so they don't have to give you as much drink for your money... Ask for no ice then ask a little later for a glass of ice lol...put your own in lol...

Kelly Bistodeau: More ice means less room for the beverages, keeps you ordering more drinks. Plus in soda ice is essential as soda goes flat faster when its warmer.
