I have Leo Rising and she has Virgo Rising...and there is something very peculiar about Leo and Virgo...my mother and father, for one, one of my best friends and his wife too...and a bunch of other people I know who are Leo-Virgo co! uples). They say, Scorpio and Sagitarrius do not get along (and grant ! you, yes....my wife and I have had typical "issues" in the last 35 years...just like every married couple)...but the fact is, I am sort of an unusual Scorpio...I like independence and respect it, admire it and encourage it. Sagitarrius is extremely loyal, something Scorpio likes...I have never distrusted my wife or ever suspected her of doing something to betray me...she is definitely not the type). The only thing I find about Sagitarrius that irritates me, is that they can say thoughtless things, blurt them out, in public...she did this when she was younger, but after causing my ire a few times, she learned to have more common sense about my feelings. We share a lot in common, especially on the intellectual level...and Sagitarrius loves intellectuals. No marriage is perfect, mind you, and no relationship is perfect...marriage or not. You would think that a Scorpio Sag relationship wouldn't work, but in fact, in one book I read, her birthdate indicated my exact birthda! te at the perfect match!So go figure that one out. I find Sagitarrius to be particularly quiet, conservative in nature (politically and otherwise), hard working, loyal, intelligent...you wouldn't think fire and water would make it, but when you put the two together the right way, it seems to. I have been surrounded by Sag for years, my niece is one and there are others and it just seems like no matter what I do, I can't get away from them! LOL. PS - I DO NOT and HAVE NOT ever gotten along with Cancer and barely get along with Pisces...I find Cancer to be stingy and somewhat stuck up and Pisces to be an air head and subtly vengeful for no good reason...so the astrologers are wrong! Scorpio does not always get along best with other water signs. Besides Sag, I find Virgo to be most attractive, strong, analytical, highly intelligent..they always manage to put me at ease..and Capricorn is great too. I know, Caps are my cardinal opposite, but you know the old saying: oppo! sites attract. I think we Scorpio's have all gotten the rotten end of t! he stick....we are too often described in negative terms, like possessive, jealous, controlling...etc. I think you can find elements of that in just about every sign, to one extent or another...and our good things, are barely mentioned...like intelligence, strength, a sense of honor, deep loyalty, affection, investigator and analyst...we make good scientists, cops and military leaders (yeah, I am a scientist, believe it or not!)...with a bent on the arcane, and spirituality (yes, we are known to be interested in the hidden).Well, enough of that. I am one of those Scorpio's who loves to fight for the underdog against those who are oppressors.I have a deep seated interest in helping people. I know, you can only go so far, then they have to make their own decisions :)I live in Oregon...and that is as far as I am going to reveal my whereabouts. It's a big state.I am like everyone else...sometimes I am happy and sometimes I am not happy. Is there anyone out there in the wor! ld that is only happy or only unhappy? Happiness is a state of mind and a choice, not something we have no control over. Too many people fail to run their lives consciously, and seem to go throughout all of life on autopilot, like they have no control over their minds, their decisions, their circumstances. We all do, in fact, have a choice in the matter of our happiness in life. We can choose to feel differently about something. We do not have to accept unhappiness as if we are doomed to it, unable to change it, helpless, victimized...these are all signs that a person is not taking control of their life and their situation(s). Taking charge is what living life on purpose is all about...and it all begins with taking responsibility for one's self and one's decisions. This is the heart of my philosophy in life, that I am in charge of myself, and I am responsible for all my decisions and all the outcomes and consequences.
