Melvina Bieri: I think I understand what you are asking... Are you wondering why people think gay marriage will somehow "cheapen" straight marriage. If so, first let me say that I DO NOT agree with this. I think anyone in love should be allowed to marry. However, there are a lot of people in the world who think that it is against God's way or something. I have heard people say that it makes a mockery of the marriage vows. That it makes it less important. I do not agree with this. There will always be stupid people in the world who believe their way is the only way. My advice is to say screw them.
